A hackathon was organised by CAMTech, Massachusetts General Hospital and Lattice Innovations at IIIT Delhi on 11-12 March, 2017. The name of the event was CAMTech X Jugaadathon. It was a healthcare hackathon that spread for continuous span of 33 hours. Students from multidisciplinary fields participated in the event. The theme that teams were required to work on was on finding solutions to healthcare problems for the urban poor. Teams were expected to highlight a specific issue relating to the theme and propose a solution. There were a total of 150 students, 47 pitches and 17 teams. Students from renowned colleges such as IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Ropar, NSIT and DTU etc. participated in this event.    
Students of MAE-MAIT formed a team called MECHTECH for participation. The team comprises of following students who worked under the supervision of Mr. Naveen Solanki, Assistant Professor, Deptt. of MAE.

The team MECHTECH from Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering won first prize in the event. The prize consists of a cheque of Rs 35,000/-. The management of the Institute also awarded the team members by giving an additional prize money equal to this amount i.e, Rs 35,000/-.
