One of the founding department of MAIT since 1999, The Department of Mechanical & Automation Engineering has shown consistent growth in various activities and performance of its students.The department has a team of highly experienced and motivated faculty members who are in process of tuning the young minds to make them globally competitive. Most of the faculty members are either PhD or pursuing PhD from reputed Institute. The department has state-of-art lab equipments for various Labs viz. FMS Lab, Robotics Lab, Mechatronics Lab, Metrology Lab, Theory of Machine Lab. Heat Transfer Lab, Refrigeration Lab, Strength of Material Lab, Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Machines Lab etc. The Department has different projects Lab for hardware and simulation based projects. The Departmental Library has more than 500 books of international standrad. Current  intake of student is 180 for B.Tech in MAE branch. An additional intake of 60 students has been sanctioned by the University starting from academic session 2019-20.
